The Allen Village CDC

The Allen Village Community Development Corporation is a 501 (c3) non-profit organization formed to help improve the residents in our community which was formed in 2013 under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Cynthia D. Jackson.

To give a little background we are located in the South Ward of Newark, New Jersey. Our neighborhood was devastated in the rebellions of 1968 and to date there has been little redevelopment in the area.

It is a neighborhood plagued by high crime, functional illiteracy, drug addiction, unemployment and underemployment, proliferation of liquor stores, transitional housing and food insecurity.

It is our mission to help transform the lives of our residents in a positive and meaningful way
